Wolverine Genus: Gulo Species: Luscus
The Wolverine as an adult can be 45 pounds and its body length can be up to 32 and a 1/4 of an inch long. The Wolverine is the largest member of the weasel family. Even with its short legs and its bear-like features it is related to the weasel. The Wolverine has well adapted to the cold. One of the reasons why it is well adapted to the cold is because its strong jaws can chew through cold and frozen meat. The Wolverine has large paws and long claws. It has a thick coat which is a glossy brown color. The Wolverine mostly feeds on fish, birds, reptiles and on the occasion, berries. You can rarely find them because they are a shy animal, but if you do spot them it is more than likely a large area and has boulders and rock crevises around it.
